ANALYTICS
Search Console Query Analyzer
Search Console’s query table is long and flat. Grouping queries by intent and pulling out those just below the top results turns it into a to-do list. This analyzer reads the standard export in your browser, using the same intent rules as the NdovuSEOLabs platform.

HOW IT WORKS
How to use the Search Console Query Analyzer
A Search Console Performance → Queries export (CSV), and optionally your brand names.
In Search Console open Performance, choose a date range and export as CSV.
Paste the Queries sheet here, with your brand names.
Start with striking-distance queries: small improvements move them most.
WHAT IT CHECKS
What it looks at, and how to read it.
Totals, queries by intent, striking-distance queries and top queries.
What it checks
- Totals, CTR and impression-weighted position
- Queries by intent
- Question queries
- Striking distance: positions 4–20 by impressions
How to read the results
- Striking-distance queries already rank; a better title, section or internal links can move them up.
- A high share of branded clicks means growth depends on people who know you.
The concepts behind it, in the SEO glossary: Keyword cannibalization, Impressions, Click-through rate, Average position.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common mistakes, an example and the limits.
Common mistakes
- Reading average position as a fixed rank.
- Comparing periods of different lengths.
- Ignoring queries with impressions but no clicks.
A worked example
A store finds "best phones in kenya" at position 6.2 with 15,300 impressions; refreshing its guide and linking to it from the homepage lifts it into the top three.
Limitations
- Your export is read in your browser and never uploaded.
- Search Console exports show at most 1,000 rows per report and hide rare queries for privacy, so totals can be lower than in the Search Console interface.
FAQ
Questions about the Search Console Query Analyzer
Straight answers about what it does and where its limits are.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The export is read in your browser.
Why do totals differ from Search Console?
Exports are limited to 1,000 rows and leave out anonymised queries, so they cover part of the traffic.
Analyse every query, not just 1,000, every day.
Free tools check one thing at a time. The NdovuSEOLabs platform connects your own Search Console, analytics and server logs, and keeps checking every page.
