NAP Consistency Checker
Search engines match a local business across the web by its name, address and phone number (NAP). Old phone numbers in a footer or a moved address on a contact page weaken that match. This checker looks for your details on the pages you choose.

HOW IT WORKS
How to use the NAP Consistency Checker
Your business name, street address and phone, and up to five page URLs.
Enter the details exactly as on your Google Business Profile.
Add your homepage, contact page and location pages.
Fix any page where a detail is missing or the markup differs.
WHAT IT CHECKS
What it looks at, and how to read it.
For each page: whether the name, address and phone were found, what its markup says, and checks across them.
What it checks
- Business name and street address in each page’s text
- Phone number in the text or tel: links, in any format
- Other phone numbers shown
- Name, address and phone in LocalBusiness or Organization markup
How to read the results
- A missing address on a blog post is fine; on the contact and location pages it matters.
The concepts behind it, in the SEO glossary: Local pack.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common mistakes, an example and the limits.
Common mistakes
- Using a call-tracking number on the site that differs from the listings.
A worked example
The contact page still shows the shop’s old street after a move, while the footer and markup show the new one.
Limitations
- Checks the HTML the server sends. Content a page adds with JavaScript after loading is not seen.
- Some sites block or challenge automated requests; then the result shows what a crawler without a browser would get.
- The name and address are matched as written, ignoring case and spacing; abbreviations such as Rd for Road do not match.
- Directory sites often block automated checks; those pages are reported as failed.
