TRACK · LOCAL SEO RANK GRIDS

Local SEO rank grids that show where you appear on the map.

Check Google Maps rankings at points around a business, on a 3×3 or 5×5 grid with the spacing you choose. See average rank, top-3 coverage and the result at each point instead of one location standing in for the area.

INSIDE THE PRODUCT

Local visibility, mapped across the area you serve.

A business can rank first at its door and be invisible a kilometre away. The grid shows both.

UNDER THE HOOD

How a local rank grid is built.

How the numbers are produced, so you can judge them for yourself.

A grid around the listing

Ndovu places a 3×3 or 5×5 grid of points around the business’s Google Maps location, spaced by the distance you set in kilometres.

A Maps search at every point

For each keyword, a Google Maps search is run as if from each point, and the businesses returned are saved with their ratings.

Matched by listing, not name

Your position is found by the listing you confirmed, so two shops with similar names are not confused.

Coverage from the points

Top-3 coverage is the share of points where you rank in the top three; average rank uses only the points where you were found.

HOW IT WORKS

From one address to a map of visibility.

Four steps from connecting your data to a decision you can stand behind.

01

Find the listing

Search Google Maps for the business and confirm the right location.

02

Set the grid

Choose keywords, a 3×3 or 5×5 grid and the spacing that matches the area customers come from.

03

Read the map

See where you rank in the top three and where competitors take over, then open the points that matter.

04

Improve and re-check

Strengthen the listing and the local page, then compare the next grid with the last.

WITH YOUR AI AGENT

Ask where you lose local customers, and to whom.

Your agent reads the grid, the businesses at each point and, when you ask, their public profiles and reviews.

  • Uses the same data as the web app
  • Paid tools estimate their cost first
  • Saves the report to the project

DATA & LIMITS

Know what the numbers can and cannot tell you.

Where the data comes from, how fresh it is, and the questions it cannot answer on its own.

SourceWhat it providesFreshness & limits
DataForSEO Google MapsLocal results at each grid point, with business names and ratings.Paid per point; a 5×5 grid is 25 checks.
Google MapsMap tiles for the grid view.Needs a Maps key in the deployment.
Business profile and reviewsPublic profile details and reviews, through your agent.Paid provider requests; read-only.

LIMIT

A point is a simulated search

Each point checks the result as if searched from there. Real customers also see personalised and moving results.

LIMIT

Coverage depends on Maps

Grids work where Google Maps lists the business. A business missing from Maps cannot be tracked.

LIMIT

No listing management

Ndovu reads local results and public profiles. It does not edit your Google Business Profile or reply to reviews for you.

LIMIT

More points, more cost

Every point is a paid check, so a 5×5 grid costs about three times a 3×3 grid.

FAQ

Local SEO grids: common questions.

Straight answers about what it does, what it costs and where its limits are.

What do the grid points show?

The Google Maps result for your keyword at each point, so you can see where the business appears and where it does not.

Does a grid check cost credits?

Yes. Each point is a paid result check, so a 5×5 grid costs more than a 3×3. Finding the listing uses a small amount of credits.

Which locations are supported?

Grids run on Google Maps around the business location you set. Confirm coverage for your area before relying on a result.

Does a good grid guarantee rankings?

No. The grid reports observations at a point in time; it does not guarantee a place in Maps.

What grid sizes are available?

3×3 and 5×5 grids, with the spacing between points set in kilometres.

Can I track several keywords on one grid?

Yes. Add the keywords for the tracker; each keyword is checked at every point.

Can I compare my profile with a competitor’s?

Yes, through your AI agent: it can read public profile details such as categories, rating and review count for named businesses.

Does Ndovu manage my Google Business Profile?

No. It reads local results and public data. Changes to the profile are made in Google.

Is it available outside Kenya?

Yes. Grids run wherever Google Maps lists the business.

What are the limits of the data?

Local grids depend on Google Maps configuration and paid result checks. Coverage and supported locations should be confirmed. The grid reports observations; it does not guarantee a place in Maps.
