Product Price & Schema Consistency Checker
When the price in a product’s markup differs from the price shoppers see, Google can drop the rich result or the free listing. Mismatches creep in through caching, sale prices and plugins that write the price in different places. This checker collects every price the page states and compares them.

HOW IT WORKS
How to use the Product Price & Schema Consistency Checker
One public product page URL.
Enter a product URL, ideally one on sale or recently repriced.
Check the markup price matches the visible price.
Fix the source that disagrees, usually a cached page or a second plugin.
WHAT IT CHECKS
What it looks at, and how to read it.
Every price the page states, by source, and checks on format, currency, expiry and agreement.
What it checks
- JSON-LD price against microdata and product:price / og:price meta tags
- JSON-LD price against the prices in the page text
- Price written as a plain number, currency as an ISO 4217 code
- Expired priceValidUntil
How to read the results
- A sale page shows two prices; the markup should hold the price the shopper pays.
- Unknown means no price was found in the text, not that the prices match.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common mistakes, an example and the limits.
Common mistakes
- Writing "KSh 24,999" as the markup price; use 24999 and priceCurrency KES.
- Caching product pages so the markup keeps an old price.
A worked example
A phone on sale shows KSh 22,999 but its markup still says 24999, because the SEO plugin reads the regular price field.
Limitations
- Checks the HTML the server sends. Content a page adds with JavaScript after loading is not seen.
- Some sites block or challenge automated requests; then the result shows what a crawler without a browser would get.
- Visible prices are found as a currency next to a number (KSh, KES, USD, $, € and others) in the HTML text. Prices drawn as images or added by scripts are not found, and then the check says so.
