Google Merchant Product Feed Validator
Merchant Center rejects products for small mistakes: a price without its currency, "available" instead of in_stock, a GTIN with a wrong check digit. Finding them after upload means waiting for review again. This validator checks the feed file first, in your browser.

HOW IT WORKS
How to use the Google Merchant Product Feed Validator
A tab-separated or CSV feed with a header row, or an RSS/Atom XML feed; up to 20,000 products.
Export your feed, or open the feed URL and copy it.
Paste it and fix the errors first, then the warnings.
Download the problem list to hand to whoever maintains the feed.
WHAT IT CHECKS
What it looks at, and how to read it.
Problems by attribute with counts and an example, and a CSV of every problem per product.
What it checks
- Required: id, title, description, link, image_link, availability, price
- availability values, and availability_date for preorder and backorder
- price and sale_price as a number and currency code, sale price below price
- GTIN length and check digit; brand, GTIN or MPN present
- Lengths of id, title and description, duplicate ids, full URLs
- condition values, all-caps and promotional titles
How to read the results
- Errors usually make Merchant Center disapprove the product; warnings limit how it shows.
- identifier_exists set to no switches off the identifier warnings, for products without them.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common mistakes, an example and the limits.
Common mistakes
- Writing prices as "KSh 18,500".
- Using the same id for colour variants.
- Putting "free shipping" in titles.
A worked example
The example feed has a duplicate id, a promotional all-caps title, an invalid availability, a relative link, a sale price above the price and an invalid GTIN.
Limitations
- Checks the attributes most feeds get wrong against Google’s product data specification; it is not Merchant Center’s full review, policies or landing-page checks.
- Nested groups such as shipping and tax are not checked value by value.
