Core Web Vitals Checker
Core Web Vitals measure loading (LCP), responsiveness (INP) and visual stability (CLS) as real visitors experience them. Google uses this field data, not lab scores, in its page experience signals. This checker reads the Chrome UX Report for the page and for the whole site.

HOW IT WORKS
How to use the Core Web Vitals Checker
One public page URL, and phones or desktops.
Enter a page URL and choose phones or desktops.
Check whether the page and the site pass the assessment.
Start with the metric rated poor, then compare similar pages to find the template causing it.
WHAT IT CHECKS
What it looks at, and how to read it.
Each metric’s 75th percentile with Google’s rating, the share of good, average and poor visits, and the pass or fail assessment.
What it checks
- LCP, INP and CLS at the 75th percentile against Google’s thresholds
- FCP and TTFB as supporting metrics
- Share of good, needs-improvement and poor visits
- The page’s own data and the whole origin’s
How to read the results
- Passing needs good LCP and CLS, and good INP where there is enough data.
- When a page has no data of its own, Google may judge it by similar pages or the whole site.
The concepts behind it, in the SEO glossary: Core Web Vitals, Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint, Cumulative Layout Shift.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common mistakes, an example and the limits.
Common mistakes
- Chasing a perfect lab score while real-user data, which is what counts, is already good.
A worked example
A shop’s homepage passes, but on phones its product pages have an LCP of 4.3 seconds from an unoptimised main image.
Limitations
- Only pages and sites with enough Chrome traffic have field data; otherwise the tool says so and shows nothing invented.
- Field data covers 28 days, so a fix shows up gradually.
- Shows how fast pages are for real visitors, not why; use a lab tool such as Lighthouse to find the causes.
FAQ
Questions about the Core Web Vitals Checker
Straight answers about what it does and where its limits are.
Why does it show no data for my page?
Chrome reports a URL only once enough opted-in users visit it. New or quiet pages often have origin data only, or none.
