E-commerce Product SEO Checker
Product pages compete on details: search results and Google Shopping read the name, price, stock and identifiers from the page’s Product markup, and shoppers judge the listing by its title and images. This checker reads a live product page the way Google’s crawler gets it and reports what is missing.

HOW IT WORKS
How to use the E-commerce Product SEO Checker
One public product page URL.
Enter the URL of one product page.
Fix the problems first: without the required properties no product result is shown.
Check another product from a different template; problems usually repeat across a whole store.
WHAT IT CHECKS
What it looks at, and how to read it.
Checks on the product markup and the page basics, and a table of what the markup says: name, brand, price, availability and identifiers.
What it checks
- Product JSON-LD present, with Google’s required and recommended properties
- Offers: price, currency and a schema.org availability value
- GTIN, MPN or SKU identifiers
- BreadcrumbList markup
- Status, noindex, canonical, title, meta description and one H1
- Product images without alt text
How to read the results
- Missing required properties stop rich results; missing recommended ones limit them.
- A canonical to another URL is reported, not judged: variants often point to the main product on purpose.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common mistakes, an example and the limits.
Common mistakes
- Marking up a price that differs from the one on the page; use the Product Price & Schema Consistency Checker.
- Writing availability as plain text such as "Available" instead of https://schema.org/InStock.
- Leaving the brand as the store name.
A worked example
A WooCommerce product has Product markup without a brand or GTIN and an image with no alt text; adding them takes three fields in the product editor.
Limitations
- Checks the HTML the server sends. Content a page adds with JavaScript after loading is not seen.
- Some sites block or challenge automated requests; then the result shows what a crawler without a browser would get.
- Reads JSON-LD in the HTML. Markup a script adds after loading, which Google may still read, is not seen here.
- Eligibility is not a guarantee: Google decides whether to show product rich results.
FAQ
Questions about the E-commerce Product SEO Checker
Straight answers about what it does and where its limits are.
Does it work with Shopify and WooCommerce?
Yes. It reads the HTML any platform sends, so it reports what the theme and plugins actually output.
What about Merchant Center?
Free merchant listings read the same markup. For a feed, use the Google Merchant Product Feed Validator.
